ringwood retirement living design competition

a submission for a design ideas competition. I was initially reluctant to enter- the site offered the opportunity to create a design response which would be distant from what I believed were the client expectations. That turned out to be the case- the resulting scheme was so far removed from the client's preconceptions and assessment criteria that the scheme was not successful. However the ideas explored were subsequently highly influential on our entry in the reimagining the future aged care design competition held by the australian government in 2023.
